SUPER Possible NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Specs Unveil: 24 Gbit Memory Is the Main Event
If leaked specifications of the upcoming GeForce RTX 5070 SUPER are any indication, NVIDIA will raise memory capacities across the board and leverage 24 Gbit (3 GB) GDDR7 memory chips for its RTX 50-series SUPER line of GPUs scheduled for later this year. According to reputable NVIDIA leaker Kopite7kimi, the RTX 5070 SUPER will have 18 GB of memory, which is distributed across six 24 Gbit memory chips on a 192-bit wide GDDR7 memory bus. The card is identified by the SKU “PG147-SKU65” and its ASIC code is “GB205-400-A1.”

In addition to having 18 GB of RAM, the RTX 5070 SUPER is said to maximize the performance of the “GB205” silicon on which it is based, allowing all 50 SM to be present. The RTX 5070 SUPER should have 6,400 CUDA cores with its 50 SM, while the actual RTX 5070 has 48 of its 50 SM active for 6,144 CUDA cores. The 50% increase in memory size and potential increases in GPU boost speeds will support the slight increase in the number of shaders. But the memory bandwidth doesn’t change. It operates at 28 Gbps, the same speed as the RTX 5070, producing 672 GB/s. The TGP will rise from 250 W to 275 W.
