On September 16, the AMD Ryzen 5 9500F will be available in stores.

AMD has stated that on September 16, 2025, the Ryzen 5 9500F, the entry-level Zen 5 CPU, will go on sale. With a base rate of 3.8 GHz and a boost clock of up to 5.0 GHz, the chip, which is in the center of the Ryzen 9000 range, has six cores and twelve threads. It has an L2 cache of 6 MB and an L3 cache of 32 MB, for a total of 38 MB. Its TDP is 65 W. Since the “F” suffix denotes the absence of an integrated GPU, a separate graphics card is necessary. With a price of ¥1,299 in China, or roughly $181 before taxes, AMD’s slides present the 9500F as an affordable Zen 5 choice. According to AMD’s own data, the Ryzen 5 7500F has an average performance boost of about 9% in triple-A games and 11% in competitive games, with some games demonstrating higher gains.

In real-world gaming tests, the 9500F places close to Intel’s mid-range components and shows only a 3.5% improvement over the Ryzen 5 7500F, according to early, independent benchmarks that have surfaced online. Other setups indicate even smaller improvements. Part numbers and availability are also unclear because some listings indicate early shipping in China, whereas presentation slides show a retail date of September 16. As a result, the SKU might be region-specific or subsequently rebranded for other markets. We should have a better understanding of the segmentation and performance, along with the final availability data, once the full reviews arrive.
