Formal Release of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 6GB is scheduled for February 2024.

Since its release in January 2022, the GeForce RTX 3050 has served as the company’s entry-level RTX 30-series GPU. During the cryptocurrency GPU scarcity, it saw some success as a 1080p gaming option priced at approximately $300. NVIDIA is finding that it lacks an entry-level discrete GPU that it can sell in large quantities since the release of the RTX 40-series. Put in the 6 GB RTX 3050. This version of the RTX 3050 is smaller than the original, with 6 GB of RAM spread across a 96-bit GDDR6 memory interface and fewer shaders. It has 2,048 CUDA cores as opposed to the 2,560 of the RTX 3050, which is based on the small GA107 “Ampere” silicon. NVIDIA calls this core arrangement the GA107-325. Since the card only has a 70 W typical graphics power (TGP), we shouldn’t see graphics cards with extra power connectors. The RTX 3050 6 GB is scheduled to go on sale through a legitimate retail channel in February 2024, with a suggested retail price of $179.
