“Arrow Lake Refresh” Next Year, “Nova Lake” Set for Late 2026, Intel Confirms

Intel reaffirmed that the next-generation “Nova Lake” desktop CPUs will be available in late 2026 and that it plans to offer a “Arrow Lake Refresh” in 2026 during the Goldman Sachs Technology conference. As the vision comes to fruition, Intel’s desktop product line will continue to be robust, according to John Pitzer, Corporate Vice President of Corporate Planning & Investor Relations. There are a few gaps that need to be filled on the desktop front. To be honest, though, we have faith in the route map,” said John Pitzer. He affirmed that “We’ll have a refresh of Arrow Lake next year, which will help start the process on the desktop side, and then we’ll conclude that with Nova Lake when we launch late next year into 2027.”

At this time, the Arrow Lake Refresh plan remains unclear. These desktop CPUs will have the same number of cores, but their frequency is allegedly adjusted to maximize performance. Features like an enhanced NPU were mentioned in early rumors, however they were eventually dropped. Right now, all we can hope for is an unconventional Arrow Lake Refresh IPO, like to the Intel IPO. The UPI interface, D2D links between tiles, ring-bus speeds, P-core and E-core frequencies, and both PL1 and PL2 power restrictions must all be adjusted. RAM’s total performance is improved by IPO, which increases transfer rates and tightens timings, pushing modules over their manufacturer XMP or EXPO profiles. Intel could be able to defend a refresh without substantially altering the semiconductor configuration if these parameters are pre-installed. We have not yet learned the company’s plans for 2026, though.
