A 10% price reduction for the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 series is made possible by lower tariffs and a stronger euro in Europe.
According to price trackers and NVIDIA’s first-party online store for Germany, NVIDIA and its GeForce add-in card (AIC) partners have implemented price reductions of 10% for their GeForce RTX 50-series “Blackwell” gaming graphics cards in the EU. The GeForce RTX 5090 is now €2,099, a 9.9% decrease from its debut price of €2,329 (VAT included). The RTX 5080 is now dropped to €1,059 (-9.4%) from its debut price of €1,169. The price of the RTX 5070 Ti is at €879. In contrast, the price of the RTX 5070 drops from €649 to €589 (a decrease of -0.2%). Both the RTX 5060 and the RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB are still available for €399 and €319, respectively. VAT is included in all pricing. Currency and import tariffs are the two main causes of the price reductions. Over the past six months, the euro has increased by 11.87% compared to the US dollar. The EU’s comparatively lower import taxes on computer hardware than the US are another significant issue.
