AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT now has a starting price of $800 in direct competition with RTX 4070 Ti.
The AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT RDNA3 graphics card is now available for $800 on the US online store Newegg, with prices for the card on the down. The price of the custom-designed ASRock RX 7900 XT Phantom Gaming graphics card has been staying steady at $799.99 for about a week, while the next-cheapest card, an XFX co-branded AMD standard graphics card, is listed on the website for $839.99. These costs directly pit the RX 7900 XT against the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti from NVIDIA. At a performance level that forced NVIDIA to downgrade the RTX 4070 Ti (initially announced as the $900 RTX 4080 12 GB), the RX 7900 XT was released with an AMD Price of $899.99. In our tests, the ray tracing performance of the RX 7900 XT is comparable to that of the RTX 3080 Ti while it is around 5% quicker than the RTX 4070 Ti in normal raster 3D graphics.
