Leaked List of Intel Xeon W “Sapphire Rapids” Workstation Processors
The SKU table for Intel’s Xeon W “Sapphire Rapids” HEDT/Workstation-class CPU family was published online prior to launch. The Xeon W-3400 series and the Xeon W-2400 series are separated horizontally in the lineup. The CPU core counts for the W-2400 series are very low, ranging from 6-core/12-thread to 24-core/48-thread. These chips have a 64-lane PCIe Gen 5 I/O and a 4-channel DDR5 memory interface (8 sub-channels). The W-3400 series, in contrast, has core counts that range from 12-core/24-thread to 56-core/112-thread, almost reaching the limit of the “Sapphire Rapids” MCM. These chips have a significant 112-lane PCIe Gen 5 I/O and an enormous 8-channel (16 sub-channel) DDR5 memory interface. Prices for the lineup start at a relatively low $360 for the entry-level W-2400 series SKU and go up to $2,189 for the top W-2400 series SKU. The base 12-core/24-thread part of the W-3400 series costs $1,189, and the top 56-core part costs $5,889 in total. All models offer ECC memory support.
