Gamers Reject RTX 5060 Ti 8 GB—16 GB Model Outsold 16:1
NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB and 8 GB versions’ sales are revealed via publicly accessible data from Mindfactory.de, one of Germany’s biggest shops. Based on the total number of units sold, the 16 GB GeForce RTX 5060 Ti is selling more than 16 times as many units as the 8 GB model, a 1,600% difference. Every GeForce RTX 5060 Ti model is listed by Mindfactory with a tag that shows how many units were sold to customers of that particular model. This covers all of Mindfactory’s models, including SKUs from AIC partners such as MSI, GIGABYTE, INNO3D, Palit, ZOTAC, and ASUS. As of this writing, 105 GeForce RTX 5060 Ti models have been sold in the 8 GB version, while 1675 units had been sold in the 16 GB version.

This is a product family comparison that highlights something far more particular than the usual AMD vs. NVIDIA sales comparison. By indicating that players are prepared to shell out a few hundred euros more for the 16 GB version of their preferred GPU, they are effectively “future proofing” their system for some more hard games. Modern games operate well on the GPU thanks to an additional 8 GB of memory buffer, especially since many features, such as path tracing, require more VRAM. The 16 GB version will also be more valuable in secondary markets like eBay and others for gamers who wish to sell their system later for an upgrade. As the fight for ever-increasing VRAM capacity continues, we’ve started a new poll below, so be sure to share your thoughts on which card you would buy.
