Leaked specifications for the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050, RTX 5060, and RTX 5060 Ti

The well-known leaker kopite7kimi has leaked the whole specification profile of NVIDIA’s upcoming GeForce RTX 50 series mainstream range, including the RTX 5050, RTX 5060, and RTX 5060 Ti graphics cards. The mid-tier RTX 5060 uses GB206-250-A1 silicon on a PG152-SKU25 board that houses 3,840 CUDA cores and 8 GB of the newest GDDR7 memory at 150 W, while the entry-level RTX 5050 uses GB207-300-A1 silicon on a PG152-SKU50 board with 2,560 CUDA cores and 8 GB of the older GDDR6 memory across a 128-bit interface at 130 W. With two board versions (PG152-SKU10/15), the more potent RTX 5060 Ti implements GB206-300-A1 silicon, most likely for two memory configurations. Along with 4,608 CUDA cores, it has a 180 W power envelope and 8 or 16 GB of GDDR7 memory.

The most noteworthy change is that both RTX 5060 variations now use next-generation GDDR7 memory technology, however all three models still use a 128-bit memory bus. The RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti are equipped with the faster GDDR7 memory, whereas the entry-level RTX 5050 model uses GDDR6 memory. The constant 128-bit interface implies that NVIDIA is using GDDR7’s higher bandwidth and memory compression techniques to boost performance without expanding the memory bus. A moderate improvement over the previous generation RTX 40 series, each tier has a slight increase in the number of CUDA cores. The RTX 5060 is positioned for high-refresh 1080p and entry-level 1440p, while the RTX 5060 Ti is probably aiming for stable 1440p performance across the majority of games. The RTX 5050 is geared for 1080p gaming. Although the precise release date is unknown, further information regarding availability should be available in the upcoming weeks.
