GeForce RTX 4060 Ti Now Only $15 More Than Radeon RX 7600 XT Due to Price Drops
According to VideoCardz, the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti (8 GB) is currently $344 at Best Buy instead of $399 due to a series of price reductions. With this new low pricing, it is only $15 more expensive than the AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT, which was just released. This is excellent news for the vast majority of gamers who are playing at 1080p. In our tests, the RTX 4060 Ti 8 GB outperforms the RX 7600 XT by an astounding 45% when ray tracing is enabled and by an average of 18% when gaming. Manufacturers recommend both the RX 4060 Ti and the RX 7600 XT for 1080p gaming at maximum settings, including ray tracing. With the Gigabyte RTX 4060 Ti Gaming OC priced at $344, Best Buy currently offers the lowest-priced RTX 4060 Ti available.
To compete with the RX 7600 XT and RX 7600, the RTX 4060 Ti and RTX 4060 seem to be built to survive significant price reductions. Similar to the RX 7600 XT, the RTX 4060 Ti has an 8-lane PCIe interface, a tiny ASIC, four GDDR6 memory chips for its 128-bit memory bus, and, in our opinion, a simpler VRM design. The main difference in the bill of materials is the cost of the ASIC: the RX 7600 XT is based on the older 6 nm node, although it utilizes a larger 204 mm² silicon, whilst the RTX 4060 Ti uses a 122 mm² silicon built on the newer 5 nm node.
