This June, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 “Ada” will be released.

According to reports, the mainstream GeForce RTX 4050 “Ada” graphics card from NVIDIA, which replaces the RTX 3050, will debut in June 2023. This might turn out to be the RTX 40-series desktop lineup’s most popular SKU. Up until summer, Team Green intends to release a new desktop SKU each month. The performance-segment RTX 4070 will be introduced in April, followed by the RTX 4060 Ti and RTX 4060 in May, and now we’re hearing about the RTX 4050 in June.

The 5 nm “AD107” chip, which also drives the RTX 4060 in its most powerful configuration, is presumably the source of the GeForce RTX 4050’s substantially scaled-down design. Similar to the AD106, the AD107 has a 128-bit wide GDDR6 memory interface. NVIDIA might reduce this for the RTX 4050 to 96-bit and provide it with 6 GB of GDDR6 memory, which is 25% less than the 8 GB of 128-bit GDDR6 memory that is required for the RTX 3050 of the current iteration. Even with this narrower/smaller memory, NVIDIA would have calculated the performance figures, and the RTX 4050 might still end up being generationally quicker than the RTX 3050.
