The price of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 falls under $1,000.
For the first time ever, the price of NVIDIA’s top-tier GeForce RTX 4080 has fallen below the $1,000 threshold. The MSI RTX 4080 Ventus 3X OC graphics card is offered for $1,099 as part of a Newegg retailer-level deal, and a coupon knocks another $100 off that price. This represents a 16.5% savings off the RTX 4080’s basic MSRP of $1,199 from NVIDIA. The MSRP of the MSI Ventus 3X OC was initially increased by $60.
Given the fall in the graphics card market as a whole, the street price of the GeForce RTX 4080 is on a much-needed downward trajectory. The Radeon RX 7900 XTX, which has a lowest street price of $881, may be exerting pressure on NVIDIA and retailers to lower the price of the RTX 4080 in particular. There’s undoubtedly a chance that a $999 pricing will sway some customers from the RX 7900 XTX. With ray tracing enabled and enthusiast-class capabilities like DLSS 3 and dual-stream encoders and decoders, the GeForce RTX 4080 is a graphics card made for 4K Ultra HD gaming at its highest settings.
