Super GPUs with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Emerge in Geekbench
We know that the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER graphics cards will be reviewed on January 31st; W1zzard of TPU has been working hard to get his reviews out on time for alternatives that are lower on the Ada Lovelace SUPER food chain. Custom Radeon RX 7600 XT models briefly halted this process, but today’s focus quickly shifted back to another batch of GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER cards. Although reviewers are currently experimenting with GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER sample units that are enabled by drivers—under stringent confidentially conditions—it is anticipated that leaks may occasionally occur. Emerging test results have been monitored by the social media account Benchleaks, fittingly called.
Premature GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER GPU test results were added to the Geekbench Browser database earlier today. Benchleaks highlighted one entry that gives a brief overview of the card’s performance in three of the Geekbench 5.1 graphics API trials: Vulkan, CUDA, and OpenCL. All of the scores, according to VideoCardz, may be essentially erroneous. Of particular note is the Vulkan score of 100378 points, which is over twice as high as the standard (non-SUPER) GeForce RTX 4080 GPU in Geekbench 6. Other results for the SUPER included an attainment of 264806 points in OpenCL and a Geekbench 5 CUDA score of 309554. An ASUS testbed (PRIME Z790-A WIFI + Intel Core i9-13900KF) scored 210551 points in Geekbench 6.2.2 Vulkan, suggesting that the late morning competitor is succeeding.
