European hardware reviewers are starting to test the Ryzen 5 7600X3D on their Socket AM5 test beds, which are still warm from last month’s Ryzen 9000 “Zen 5” launch coverage, as German shop Mindfactory.de is listing the chip. One of the earliest of these reviewers is PCGH, and their findings are intriguing. The main query that everyone wants an answer to is “how does it game?” and PCGH has some positive news to share. In gaming benchmarks, the processor outperforms the 8-core Ryzen 7 9700X “Zen 5” chip, averaging 6% quicker than the average across all games in PCGH’s test suite. This indicates that the processor is incredibly fast. Additionally, it performs roughly 9% worse than the current top processor, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D.
The Ryzen 5 7600X3D’s speed advantage over the 9700X extends to all other Ryzen 9000 series processors released to date, including the flagship Ryzen 9 9950X. When gaming, the 7600X3D outperforms the 9950X by an astounding 11%. The 7600X3D performs approximately 1% slower than the Core i5-13600K and 2% slower than the more recent i5-14600K when compared to its Intel counterparts. Since the 7600X3D was tasked with defeating these two chips in the gaming department, people are enticed to the Ryzen 5 series, even though the chip ultimately comes up short. A lot will rely on how widely AMD launches the 7600X3D and how much it finishes up costing on the street. Click the source link below to get the full PCGH review of the Ryzen 5 7600X3D.
