Prices for AMD Ryzen 7000X3D Series Unveiled; Available on February 28

The retail channel prices for AMD’s new Ryzen 7000X3D “Zen 4” family of powerful Socket AM5 desktop CPUs were revealed today. The firm says that the 3D Vertical Cache (3DV cache) technology introduced by these CPUs significantly improves gaming performance, putting them on par with 13th Gen Core “Raptor Lake” processors like the top i9-13900K and perhaps even the i9-13900KS. The Ryzen 9 7950X3D and 7900X3D will be retail-available starting on February 28, 2023, according to AMD. On April 6, 2023, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D goes on sale.

The 8-core/16-thread Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor costs USD $449. Priced at $599, the Ryzen 9 7900X3D has 12 cores and 24 threads. The flagship Ryzen 9 7950X3D, which has 16 cores and 32 threads, costs $699. The Ryzen 7 7700X debuted at $399 before settling at $349, while the 7800X3D is $50 more expensive at launch. The Ryzen 9 7900X, which is presently selling at $475, launched for $599, which is a $50 premium over the 7900X3D. The top-dog 7950X3D will be available for the same $699 price as the 7950X, whose price has been drastically reduced to $575.
