The OC community is taking notice of Intel’s 14th Gen Core i9-14900K and i9-14900KF, with SkatterBencher reaching 9.10 GHz during a live OC session and elmor now holding the highest validated clock speed record at 9048 MHz. The latest generation of Intel Z790 chipset motherboard models, which manufacturers introduced over the past few weeks and were created with 14th Gen processors in mind, established the records. Both overclocking experts employed extreme cooling techniques in addition to a core voltage of 1.360 V. For his OC attempt, SkatterBencher employed liquid helium to cool the processor, which allowed him to reach the wonderful 9100 MHz frequency. In order to prevent artificially inflated clock speeds, CPUID is attempting to improve the CPU-Z validation procedure, so maybe the 9.10 GHz record will be validated shortly. Elmor currently holds the #1 spot in the scoreboard after achieving 9048 MHz!
