NVIDIA Verifies the GeForce RTX 50 Series Verified Priority Access Program Is Still Active
After making the initial announcement two months ago, NVIDIA has confirmed that its Verified Priority Access (VPA) scheme for the GeForce RTX 50 Series is still in place. A restricted amount of GeForce account holders in the US are able to buy RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 Founders Edition cards straight from the NVIDIA Marketplace thanks to the initiative. Three weeks following the launch of the RTX 50 Series, the VPA plan was implemented to address excessive reseller costs and supply problems. Users who had NVIDIA Accounts created on or before January 30, 2025, at 6 AM Pacific Time, were first able to express interest online two months ago. Qualifying account holders would have received invitations via email, with the initial announcements planned for the following week.
Only GeForce users in the US are eligible for this pilot program, which is restricted to the RTX 5090, RTX 5080, and RTX 5070 Founders Edition cards. Not included is the recently announced RTX 5070 Ti, which needs to be bought through custom designs from AIB partners. NVIDIA has not revealed the number of available priority access slots or if the program will be extended globally. In response to a purported VPA program rumor that it had stopped, an NVIDIA spokesperson stated on Reddit, “VPA for the GeForce RTX 50 series Founders Edition graphics cards has not ended,” as far as we know. The business might think about expanding its product ranges and markets if the US pilot is successful. Those who qualify should keep an eye on their email inboxes for an invitation to purchase at the original MSRP.
