Huawei today announced its new desktop PC, the HUAWEI MateStation S. The new computer embodies the smart features that underpin Huawei’s smartphone and PC product line-up, the new desktop computer is equipped to empower consumers to work smarter, more confidently and efficiently.

As increasing numbers of UAE residents opt for a hybrid-based working model split between home and the office they require more powerful devices to meet their work productivity. . According to new study for 2020, 97 percent of business leaders in the UAE believe that their organisations will adopt a more hybrid way of working for the foreseeable future. Researchers also found that managers and employees in the UAE expect to spend 42 percent of the work week outside of the traditional office setting. Engineered to be a smart productivity tool, the HUAWEI MateStation S is equipped with a 7 nm AMD Ryzen™ 5 4600G Processor to support the performance required for a quality experience in office and entertainment scenarios. Taking advantage of Huawei’s distributed technology, the new Huawei desktop supports Huawei Share^[1] and Multi-screen Collaboration, delivering new smart office experiences to consumers working across multiple devices. The powerful system is encased in a minimalist, compact chassis, and pairs beautifully with the HUAWEI Ultra-Slim Wired Keyboard with Fingerprint^[2] to elegantly adorn any office space while enabling consumers to be more productive with smart technology.

Productivity-enhancing performance

The HUAWEI MateStation S is powered by the 7 nm, 6-core AMD Ryzen™ 5 4600G Processor, which brings incredible multi-tasking performance for improved productivity. The processor includes the integrated Radeon™ Graphics for faster graphics performance which matches some of its discrete counterparts to support multimedia workloads.

Equipped with an NVMe solid-state drive connected via the PCIe interface, the HUAWEI MateStation S supports high read and write speeds to enhance user productivity regardless of what they are working on. Users can opt to expand their system with PCIe hardware and dual-channel DDR4 memory using the additional connectors on the mainboard. The system also features integrated 2×2 MIMO Wi-Fi connectivity for Internet, and Bluetooth 5.0 for connecting peripherals wirelessly.

The Space-Efficient Cooling System and noise-free fan adjust the wind speed as the component temperature changes, making the temperature control smarter to create a quiet environment for users. The wind valley air duct set-up, inspired by the valley wind in nature, supports precise air circulation management, ensuring that hot air is expelled through a dedicated air duct, allowing the system to be cooled rapidly for long term stability.

All smartly connected, right away

Based on Huawei’s distributed technology, the HUAWEI MateStation S supports Huawei Share and Multi-screen Collaboration, enabling multiple devices to collaborate and complement each other. Users can tap a smartphone against the right Shift key on the keyboard^[4] to connect it with the desktop computer for easy file transfer and document editing. In addition, the upgraded Multi-screen Collaboration feature supports up to three concurrent app windows on the desktop, allowing users to effectively multi-task with multiple devices on a single display^[5]. 

Stylishly compact design

The HUAWEI MateStation S features a sleek and compact chassis with slanted openings arranged in a sophisticated, star trails-inspired pattern on the front panel. These openings allow cool air to easily flow through. The 8.6 L chassis is smaller than traditional desktop PCs, making it ideal for small offices where space can be at a premium.

It is bundled with a 23.8-inch Full HD display^[6] featuring three slim bezels and a 90% screen-to-body ratio, delivering high-definition picture quality for viewing everything from documents to videos. The display has also passed the TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification and Flicker Free certification; users can enjoy a comfortable viewing experience even for extended periods of time.

The HUAWEI Ultra-Slim Wired Keyboard with Fingerprint^[7] features an ultra-slim metallic design and scissor keys offering a satisfying tactile typing experience with 2.5 mm key travel. With integrated Huawei Share functionality, it lets users tap their smartphones and wirelessly connect to the desktop for easy file transfers. At the top right corner, a 2-in-1 fingerprint reader and power button take users straight to the desktop securely with a single press of the button.
