Gigabyte AM5 Motherboard Leak, AMD Ryzen 9000G APUs
It appears that the elusive AMD Ryzen 9000G APUs may still be scheduled for an official international debut later this year. AMD remained surprisingly silent on its CPUs at Computex 2025, despite the fact that an announcement was anticipated there and a full-scale retail launch was planned later this year. It appears like Gigabyte has begun getting its B650 motherboard lineup ready for AMD’s Ryzen 9000G APUs to arrive.

It appears that Gigabyte has completely removed any reference to Ryzen 9000 series CPUs from its B650 Gaming motherboard memory compatibility page in favor of “Ryzen 9000 G-series CPUs,” instead. Although it’s unclear, it appears like the AMD Ryzen 9000 and 9000G CPUs will be compatible with the same RAM compatibility table as a result of this modification. In any case, this disclosure raises the possibility that earlier speculation about a Q4 launch was accurate. According to those same reports, the Ryzen 9000G APUs would have AMD Zen 5 CPU cores and AMD RDNA 3.5 iGPUs. The top-spec iGPU would probably be able to handle at least a few light games and e-sports titles. Currently, the G-series APUs are often designed to be used without a dedicated GPU, whereas the iGPUs found in contemporary AMD Ryzen CPUs are only used for basic video output and diagnostic purposes. The Radeon 890M, which powers some of the most well-liked Windows gaming handhelds available, is expected to be included in at least one AMD Ryzen 9000G APU series model.
