At 9121.61 MHz, the Intel Core i9-14900KF sets a new world record for overclocking.
The beginning of 2025 brings some exciting news regarding the final-generation Intel Core i9-14900KF CPU, while Intel is occupied with its new Core Ultra 200S family of “Arrow Lake-S” desktop processors. Without a functional iGPU, the “Raptor Lake” CPU has officially surpassed the world record for overclocking and advanced closer to the 10 GHz goal. An overclocker by the name of “Wytiwx” set a new world record at 9121.61 MHz, surpassing “Elmor’s” previous record of 9117.75 MHz by 3.8 MHz. Elmor’s rule, which was established in 2022 and now has second, third, fourth, and fifth position on the leaderboard, is formally broken by this. We want to know if the new overclocker will keep up his lead or if someone else will attempt to overtake him. Interestingly, Wytiwx used an ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z790 APEX motherboard with a CPU cooled by LN2 to set a new world record. Windows 7 Ultimate Edition was used to certify the run, which is an intriguing option for overclockers because Windows 7 has also been used to set records in the past.
