The cost of the AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT is still declining; over the last weekend, Newegg’s price dropped as low as $399. The Sapphire RX 7700 XT Pulse is priced at $409 at the merchant, but an additional $10 is deducted with a coupon. With the lowest priced card on Newegg costing $419, the RX 7700 XT, at $399, presents a serious competitive threat to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16 GB; and the RTX 4060 Ti 8 GB, which costs $389. The RX 7700 XT is a 1440p-class graphics card that performs 16% better at 1440p and 14% better at 1080p than the RTX 4060 Ti 16 GB. It is in a class above both of the RTX 4060 Ti cards. With ray tracing, it provides about the same performance in games; in our testing, it behind the RTX 4060 Ti 16 GB by only 1%. When it comes to price and performance, NVIDIA’s RTX 4060 Ti 16 GB and the RTX 4070 (which is the least expensive, at $525) diverge somewhat.
