AMD Allegedly Will Launch Day with 200,000 Radeon RX 7900 Series GPUs
The Radeon RX 7900 line of graphics cards will go on sale on December 13th, according to AMD. We are also hearing more rumors about how the availability might be as recent launches have been shrouded in doubt about their availability. We know that AMD is purportedly preparing 200,000 Radeon RX 7900 SKUs for launch day, according to HardOCP founder Kyle Bennett. If the report is accurate, there should be 30,000 Made-by-AMD (MBA) cards among the 200,000 launch-day SKUs, with the remaining being AIB partner cards. This figure suggests that there will be a significant demand for these new GPUs and that the shortage issue should be resolved for good based on AMD’s market research.
We previously reported that the next AMD Radeon generation is apparently hard to find, with only 3,000 MBA designs arriving in Germany and 7,000 MBA SKUs arriving in the remainder of the EMEA region. We would like to know if this is true and whether more SKUs will be available given the rumor that is circulating today. The majority of the MBA designs may go to the American market, while AIB partners would take care of the other locations. Of course, we’ll have to wait until tomorrow’s debut to find out how AMD intends to carry out its plan.
