According to synthetic benchmarks, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti reportedly outperforms the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER by 16.6%.
NVIDIA’s new GeForce RTX 5070 Ti GPU presents an intriguing image of performance improvements over the predecessor, thanks to some early 3D Mark benchmarks that VideoCardz was able to secure. The first look at the card’s capabilities came from testing using AMD’s Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor and 48 GB of DDR5-6000 RAM. Performance-wise, the new GPU outperforms its predecessor, the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, by 16.6%. The $250 price differential between the two cards raises concerns regarding the price-to-performance ratio, though, as benchmark data indicates that it is trailing the more costly RTX 5080 by 13.2%. Given its limited availability, the RTX 5070 Ti, which has an MSRP of $749, may launch significantly more expensive in retail channels. The placement of the card becomes especially intriguing when contrasted with the $999 price point of the RTX 5080, which fetches a 33% premium for its greater performance capabilities.
Recall that the RTX 5070 Ti has 280 texture units, 80 RT cores for ray tracing, 280 tensor cores for AI calculations, and 8,960 CUDA cores. These CPUs are all supported by 16 GB of GDDR7 memory that operates at 28 Gbps effective speed across a 256-bit bus interface, giving it an 896 GB/s bandwidth. Since synthetic benchmarks only provide a portion of the picture, we must wait for thorough reviews before drawing any final performance conclusions. Advanced features like ray tracing and upscaling technologies, which have a big impact on real-world performance, must be taken into account when playing modern games. Comprehensive gaming benchmarks conducted in a variety of scenarios will provide the real test.
