According to reports, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 will be released in July.
The least powerful entry-level GeForce RTX 5050 GPU is the last of NVIDIA’s planned SKUs for its GeForce RTX 50 series “Blackwell” graphics cards. The RTX 5050 has 2,560 CUDA cores and is based on the GB207 SKU. Operating on a 128-bit system, it has 8 GB of GDDR6 memory with an as-yet-unknown bandwidth. With a 130 W TDP, it represents a slight improvement over the RTX 4050 desktop GPU of the previous generation. In contrast, the previous version RTX 4050 had 2,560 CUDA cores, but it also had 100 W TDP and 6 GB of RAM. Even with the same CUDA core architecture, the Blackwell revision should provide a respectable performance boost due to its 30% greater TDP and larger memory capacity. We’re waiting for additional details about the performance and pricing goals NVIDIA has in mind, as the launch is reportedly scheduled for July.
