Arc A380 from Intel is clocked up after a driver update
Intel Graphics came up with a novel strategy to boost the performance of their budget Arc A380 graphics cards. Intel has provided the A380 with a free vendor overclock whereas other companies block BIOS updates and generally oppose overclocking. Intel has raised the GPU’s basic frequency with the newest Arc GPU Graphics drivers, version 101.4644 WHQL. In addition to installing the driver, the firmware update is also installed. The reference base clock for the A380 is 2000 MHz, and it can turbo to 2050 MHz.
The base frequency has been raised to 2150 MHz using the most recent 101.4644 drivers (the new firmware). Although it’s not much, who wouldn’t like a free 7.5% overclock to go along with their recent performance improvements of 19% in DirectX 11 games and over 40% in DirectX 9 ones?
