All six CPU cores are present on just one of the two CCDs in this processor, which functions similarly to a single-CCD package. The other CCD is fully deactivated. AMD has previously used dual-CCD MCMs to create low core-count Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 processors, such the Ryzen 3000 “Matisse” and Ryzen 5000 “Vermeer.” Typically, the Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 SKUs are built on a single-CCD package, with the substrate physically lacking a second CCD. As a result of the IHS’s compact size and durability, the second, The IHS is compact and strong enough to stand alone without the assistance of the second CCD.
